The company IMA in Dresden specialises in material research and application technology. Their most important project was the performance of a long-term fatigue test for the new Airbus A380.
Because there was no suitable hall available at the Dresden Airport, a new testing hall had to be built. The location of the hall required a large door system with the dimensions of 40 x 20 metres made of translucent material that also was not allowed to reflect radar beams.
An additional important decision criterion was the elegant shade Brilliant and the light-scattering properties of the door material.
