Prendes GmbH & Co. KG offers a wide range of Mediterranean specialities and gastronomic products and is appreciated by its customers mainly due to the very large range of fresh fish and wine.
In line with the renovation of two old roller doors in the entrance area, the owner of the building looked for a long-lasting and safe door solution which also visually enhances the building. The customer opted for two Butzbach stacking doors SPACELITE in the fibreglass colour brilliant. As upon opening the door panels stack safely and compactly in a cassette behind the lintel, the doors do not interfere with the lighting devices and ventilation systems positioned directly behind them.
Certified safety
The safety factor played a decisive role for Prendes in the selection of the door: One of the doors is open throughout the opening hours and marks the access to the shop, which means that there is constant public traffic beneath the door.
The renouncement of protruding hinges and reinforcing struts as well as free-hanging cables or wire ropes eliminates possible sources of injury for customers. The TÜV-tested anti drop device and the guide tracks, which are closed on three sides, allow for safe passage of the opened door at all times.
Optical enhancement by integrated pictures
Both doors are designed with integrated pictures showing several swordfish. This motif is also reflected in the official company logo of Prendes. The company name, which is fixed on the top of one door on a translucent fibreglass cover, is always visible, even when the door is open. The backlit doors look like a huge illuminated advertising.
The shop which is normally poorly visible from the street is now more striking and inviting. Even the formerly dark forecourt now appears brighter,
